NEW FIGURES: 800 homes damaged across La. in Tuesday's tornadoes

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Nearly 800 homes in five parishes were damaged from the line of tornadoes that moved across south Louisiana on Tuesday, according to newly released figures from the Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP).

The majority of the damaged homes were in Orleans Parish.

There were 39 reported injuries and no deaths, GOHSEP said.

BATON ROUGE (February 9, 2017) - The Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP) has received updated information on the tornadoes and severe weather that impacted Louisiana Tuesday, February 7th.  According to early damage assessments, nearly 800 homes were damaged in five parishes. There have been 39 reported injuries and no fatalities from the storms.
