BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - An Uber driver is behind bars after his fare accused him of assaulting her.
According to court documents, the victim told police that her driver, Desmond Amabo, 30, of Monroe, picked her up from Tigerland in Baton Rouge in September.
The victim said on the way home, Amabo twice tried to touch her inappropriately. Police said the victim jumped out of the car and ran away.
Amabo was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on two counts of sexual battery. His bond is set at $12,000.
