LSU running back Leonard Fournette has announced that he will not play in the Citrus Bowl against Louisville on Dec. 31.
Earlier this month the talented running back said he would declare for the 2017 NFL Draft.
Fournette fought through a nagging ankle injury throughout the season. He played in seven games this year, rushing for 843 yards, eight touchdowns and a 6.5 yard per carry average.
Fournette leaves LSU as one of the all-time greats in the program, rushing for 3,380 yards, a 6.2 yard per carry average and 40 touchdowns.
He is projected to be a first round draft choice in the 2017 NFL Draft.
