Suspect arrested in Plank Rd. murder case; victim tried to stop robbery

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

A suspect has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of Jonathan Sam, 25, which occurred on November 10 on Plank Rd.

Curtis Lee Brown Jr., 21, was arrested Thursday, December 8 in Dallas, TX. Brown will be extradited back to Baton Rouge at a later date and will be booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for 1st degree murder and armed robbery.

Sam was found shot death near G&T Tires on Plank Rd., where he was employed. Detectives believe Sam was trying to intervene during a robbery when he was shot.
