LIVINGSTON PARISH, LA (WAFB) - Some flood victims in Livingston Parish received a welcome gift just in time for Christmas.
"I had 6'9" in my house," Henry Welch said. "Everything. Lost my house, my car, my other car. I mean, this really helps out a lot with Christmas coming and stuff."
Family Day Ministries from Louisville, KY, visited Livingston Parish flood victims Wednesday to give out things to people who may still be struggling during the holiday season.
The Kentucky group arrived loaded with everything from food to school supplies to bikes for the kids.
"I don't know if you saw the little boys riding around on bikes, but I think that says a lot right there," said Melissa Fleniken with Family Day Ministries. "They're pretty excited. And, we are so grateful we can help them."
In all, Family Day Ministries raised about $10,000 in donations for flood victims.
