April Peck died after she was shot by her live-in boyfriend Terrell Walker and tossed out of the car on Essen Lane two Sundays ago. Walker died after he was involved in a shoutout with deputies. Wesley was driving down Essen Lane when he stopped to help Peck but Walker shot him twice and drove over his legs. Wesley has undergone two surgeries and is currently in physical therapy.

Why did Peck go to visit Wesley?

"I felt obligated to say thank you," she said. "I felt it was necessary for the boys to see that there are good people left in the world. I wanted her boys to say thank you and let him know we are cheering for his speedy recovery. I wanted to know the exact place she laid while fighting for her life and the last words she may have whispered.

"Initially, I thought visiting him would make me feel better," she continued. "Which it did in reference to Daniel. He's an awesome young man but it only brewed more hate and anger in my heart for Terrell hearing Daniel say she was still talking and was able to tell him she had been shot. I felt as though she had a fighting chance with all the help that was there and Terrell stole it from her."
