HAMMOND, LA (WAFB) - Three people have been arrested and one is still wanted by police in connection with death of a woman at a Hammond gas station.
According to the Hammond Police Department, the incident happened Sunday, December 4 at roughly 11:15 p.m. Officers were initially dispatched to a hotel on Westin Oaks Dr. when they came across the murder scene.
"While en route, a HPD officer heard screaming at the Shell Station, located on Highway 190 West, and noticed a person lying on the ground," officials said in a press release. "HPD pulled over to assist and discovered the victim was fatally shot."
The victim, T'keyah Hooker, 22, is believed to have been killed during a domestic dispute.
The three people who were arrested include:
- Eric McDonald, 37, of Independence - charged with obstruction of justice
- Jireal Lee, 23, of Hammond - charged with accessory after the fact (second-degree murder)
- Marqueita Moore, 39, of LaPlace - charged with accessory after the fact (second-degree murder)
Officials believe Martin Haynes, 25, of Hammond, is responsible for pulling the trigger. They are actively searching for him.
