BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Louisiana's first family is getting ready for the holidays.
Friday, they unwrapped dozens of decorations at the Governor's Mansion. First Lady Donna Edwards took WAFB on a tour, which included a behind-the-scenes look at the mansion's dining room and Christmas tree. She also invited a few special guests.
"We've invited a lot of the, not a lot, but some of the people who were affected by the historic floods of 2016 to join us today or later on, and we're going to have Papa Noel visit us today," said Edwards.
The first lady says volunteers helped put up most of this year's decorations. Her family just moved back into the Governor's Mansion, which was damaged during the historic flood.
