OMV could revise part of new 'no cash' policy

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The Office of Motor Vehicles is revising part of their recent no cash policy.

In December, leaders say they could reverse part of the policy to allow drivers to pay for a driver's license, vehicle registration, or title with cash. However, residents will still need a debit or credit card for a reinstatement fee.

The OMV says they faced pressure from lawmakers to make these changes. The policy was originally in place to be more efficient and save taxpayers money.
