Man facing charges in stabbing death of friend released on bond

PRIDE, LA (WAFB) - The man accused of stabbing his friend, who later died, was released after posting bond.

The East Baton Rouge Parish Prison reported Brennan Hebert, 19, of Denham Springs, was released on a $50,000 bond.

Hebert is charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of Justin Hussey, also 19.

According to the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office, Hebert and Hussey got into an argument early Wednesday morning outside a home on Peairs Road in Pride.

Hebert allegedly told deputies that he never intended to stab his friend and he and another witness tried to save him. They attempted to drive him to an area hospital.

Authorities said the victim died from his injuries before arriving at the hospital.

Hebert allegedly told investigators that he has known the victim for four years.
