Another Iberville Parish jury has ruled in favor of the plaintiffs in a second trial regarding a deadly 2013 explosion at a chemical plant in Geismar.
A second jury found that two management groups, the Williams Companies Inc. and the Williams Olefins LLC, knew that employees were at risk before the explosion occurred.
The groups were being sued by four victims injured on Thursday, June 13, 2013 when an explosion at the plant left two people dead and 114 others injured.
All four plaintiffs will receive compensation for their injuries from the explosion as the management groups were ordered to pay $16 million to the four victims.

In September, an Iberville Parish jury ruled in favor of another four plaintiffs in the first trial regarding the explosion, awarding them $13 million. Company representatives said they would appeal that verdict.
Lawyers said there are still 92 plaintiffs left waiting to have their cases heard with the next trail to be held in January.
