BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Baton Rouge Community College is in the process of searching for a new chancellor.

Phil Smith has stepped in as acting chancellor for the time being.

The school is hosting a two-day forum to narrow down the candidates, beginning on Monday, November 14.

The search process began this past summer and five finalists have been narrowed down in the process.

Students, faculty and staff, and the public are encouraged to attend the forums. Each forum will feature one of the finalists.

Forum participants will have an opportunity to engage with the finalists in an open dialogue and will include a question and answer session. Participants in the forums will also have the opportunity to provide feedback by completing an anonymous electronic survey. Survey results will be considered in the selection process.
