BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Walmart has announced Mobile Check-In, a new feature that makes their existing grocery pickup service even faster and more convenient, and it's just in time for Thanksgiving.
Here's how it works:
- After making an online order and receiving confirmation that the order is ready for pickup, customers can use the Walmart Grocery app to check in when they're about to leave for the store.
- When the customer checks in, Walmart's team will begin assembling the items in the order before the customer gets to the store.
- When the customer arrives at the store, an associate will meet them near the front or side of the store with their online order.
- Walmart associates will load the customer's items into they're car and the customer can be on their way without having to even get out of their car.
Customers can order everything needed for a great Thanksgiving meal, including turkey, sweet potatoes, a tablecloth, and much more. There is no additional charge associated with the grocery pickup service and no price markups either. Walmart hopes the check-in service will be convenient for busy holiday shoppers.
