BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Authorities said a man accused of stealing items from a garage, a shed and a backyard of homes in East Baton Rouge Parish and pawning them faces several theft charges.
The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office reported Clint Sarvaunt, 47, of Baton Rouge, was arrested by the Walker Police Department on October 31.
Investigators said he was driving a stolen car at the time.
Deputies said he was booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center and then sent to the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on Wednesday.
Authorities believe Sarvaunt stole lawn equipment, tools and other items worth thousands of dollars.
Sarvaunt faces the following charges:
Burglary of an inhabited dwelling (2 counts)
Theft (6 counts)
Simple burglary (1 count)
His bond was set at $20,000.
