BREC launches series of open dialogue discussions with law enforcement

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

The Baton Rouge Recreation and Park Commission, better known as BREC, is launching a series of open dialogue discussions with local law enforcement to establish better relationships and mutual understanding.

Through combined efforts with the Baton Rouge Police Department and the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office, the program will allow youths ages 25 and younger to hear from and speak with local law enforcement officers in an open dialogue setting. Participants will learn about what local deputies and officers do on a daily basis.

Sessions will be co-moderated by local youth participants. Everyone is invited to attend and is encouraged to bring family and friends as well. Sessions will be as follows:
