BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Baton Rouge homeowners have the opportunity to potentially make more than $400 in a night by renting out their homes on game day weekends, according to a study done by NerdWallet and HomeAway.com.
The report analyzed data for the hometowns of ten of the final 2015 AP Top 25 football teams and discovered that rental prices increase sharply during home games. The report suggested that Baton Rouge homeowners in particular could potentially cover 34% of their monthly mortgage payment and utilities by renting out their home for just one home game night per month.
