BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A Baton Rouge woman hit the jackpot big time, taking a $1 million Powerball prize from the Oct. 29 drawing.
Tung Le's winning ticket matched five of the six numbers needed to win a little more than $700,000 after state and federal tax withholdings.
"This is very exciting," Le said. "I look forward to using this money to pay off my mortgage so I don't have to worry about that anymore."
The 38-year-old bought the ticket at Hi Nabor Supermarket, located on Jones Creek Road in Baton Rouge.
The store also won with a one-time selling bonus of $10,000, which is 1 percent of the prize
