Verizon donates thousands to Salvation Army for flood recovery

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Verizon donated $75,000 Wednesday to the Salvation Army to help with flood recovery efforts.

"Recovery from a disaster of this magnitude is an 'all hands on deck' endeavor and it requires all of us to come together and lend a hand and that's exactly what businesses like Verizon are doing," Gov. John Bel Edwards said.

Edwards was joined by representatives from Verizon and the Salvation Army, along with Congressman Garrett Graves.
