BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A new report drills down into the board that regulates Louisiana dentists.
The legislative auditor said the board needs to be more consistent about inspecting dental offices.
Among the issues noted, the report said between 2012 and 2014, inspections were not performed on more than a third of dental offices.
The report also said the board needs to do a better job at making sure any violations found in those inspections are corrected.
In all, auditors made a total of eight recommendations.
The board's executive director disagreed with all of them.
