BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A house located at Kaufman and Sanchez Streets in Baton Rouge burned down Friday afternoon.
The Baton Rouge Fire Department says the house, which was being renovated after the August flooding, is a total loss and was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived on scene. The neighboring home sustained minor charring on the outside due to the intense heat of the fire. Firefighters were able to prevent any further damage to other nearby houses.
BRFD firefighters were able to bring the fire under control. No injuries have been reported. Investigators have not determined the cause of the blaze. The case is under investigation.
