BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A man accused of setting a woman on fire was taken into police custody Tuesday.
Greater Baton Rouge Crime Stoppers reported on October 13 that John Harleaux, 28, was wanted by the Baton Rouge Police Department.
Investigators said Harleaux and a woman got into an argument on Sept. 24, 2016. They added during the argument, Harleaux allegedly used hairspray and a flame to set the victim on fire.
Officials said the woman suffered second and third-degree burns on her left arm, shoulder and back.
Harleaux was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on one count of domestic abuse battery by burning, which is a felony.
No bond has been set.
