Investigators arrest 5 for multiple car burglaries in Livingston Parish

LIVINGSTON PARISH, LA (WAFB) - Five people are behind bars for allegedly breaking into many vehicles in Livingston Parish.

Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard said two vehicles were burglarized in the Watson area of Livingston Parish. The sheriff's office estimates more than $1,000 worth of items were taken, including tools, gas generator and car stereo.

The five individuals were arrested during a traffic stop on Fore Road near Watson.

"A witness, able to provide us with detailed information, led us to these suspects and the stolen property," Ard noted. "We are grateful that our citizens choose to work with us to solve crimes in Livingston Parish."

Dillon Booth, 20; David Monroe, 19; Destiny Parker, 17; and Landon Keller, 26, were booked into the Livingston Parish Prison on charges of contributing to the delinquency of juveniles and simple burglary. All five are being held on $55,000 bond.

A juvenile was also arrested.

Officials said the investigation is ongoing.
