BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Baton Rouge flood victims must have their final debris piles ready for curbside pickup no later than Sunday, November 6, officials announced.
Debris removal teams will begin the final pass for pickup on that date. Debris that is not set out by that date will possibly go uncollected.
The announcement was made Wednesday, October 19. Officials say crews will continue to pick up debris until the final collection date.
Any residents who are unable to meet this final flood debris set-out deadline to contact the Department of Environmental Services as soon as possible by dialing (225) 389-4865.
More than 1.6 million cubic yards of flood debris have been collected by City-Parish crews since efforts first began Aug. 20, which represents one of the largest-ever flood debris removal efforts of its kind.
