Deputies arrest man suspected of selling heroin, cocaine, meth and other drugs

BALDWIN, LA (WAFB) -

Detectives said a suspected drug dealer is facing many charges after they found lots of illegal narcotics in his possession.

The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office reported Rondon Caesar, 40, of Baldwin, was arrested Monday afternoon.

According to investigators, the SMPSO Narcotics Section gathered information about Caesar allegedly having drugs in his car at his home. Deputies said Caesar tried to run away from the narcotics detectives but was eventually caught. They added they obtained a search warrant for Caesar’s car and found the following items:

Heroin
MDMA pills (more than 400)
Methamphetamine
Cocaine
Suboxone strips
Digital scale
Plastic baggies

Authorities reported the drugs are believed to have a street value of about $9,000. They added Caesar had more than $1,800 in cash on him that is suspected of being from drug sales.

Officials said Caesar’s home is near a church. They added Caesar fought with one of the officers during the chase and broke a Taser. He was booked on the following charges:

Possession of heroin with intent to distribute
Possession of MDMA with intent to distribute
Possession of cocaine with intent to distribute
Possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute
Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
Possession of Suboxone with intent to distribute
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Violation of a controlled dangerous substance law (drug free zone)
Resisting a police officer with force or violence
Disarming of a peace officer
Criminal damage to property
Transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses

Bond was not set.
