Southern is back in action for the first time in three weeks, traveling to Mississippi to face the Jackson State Tigers at 6:15 p.m. Saturday.
Jackson State is 2-3 this season, winning their last two games after losing three straight to start to the 2016 season.

Players to watch for the Jackson State Tigers:
Brent Lyles has completed 46 of 94 passing attempts for 567 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions.
LaMontiez Ivy has played in four games, throwing 87 passes, completing 41 for 362 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions.
Jordan Johnson: 35 carries for 230 yards and three touchdowns and a 6.6 yards per carry average.
Joshua Bates: 56 carries for 206 yards and one touchdown.
Dan Williams: 31 catches for 359 yards, two touchdowns and a 11.6 yard per catch average.
Keontre Anderson leads the team with five sacks and 9.5 tackles for loss.
Preston Hodges leads the team with 25 total tackles.
