DENHAM SPRINGS, LA (WAFB) - The City of Denham Springs took steps to help people try to get their lives back to normal following the devastating flood.
The Denham Springs City Council passed two things Tuesday night. One allows people living in mobile homes prior to flood to replace them with another mobile home. That was not on the books before Tuesday night's meeting.
"Because of such a catastrophic event that we've had here, we felt that it was necessary to do so," said Mayor Gerard Landry.
The other allows for temporary housing like RVs and campers to be on a property while people work to fix their house.
