An East Baton Rouge Parish school principal and football coach are on administrative leave over an investigation into an alleged grade change for a football player.
The Louisiana High School Athletic Association is investigating the Belaire High Bengals for allegedly using an ineligible player and could cause them to forfeit their five wins this year.
Coach Claude Coleman said the player had a legitimate grade change and has not played in any of the games in question.
Coleman said he thinks an ex-employee may have triggered the investigation after Coleman fired three assistant coaches earlier this year.
