BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

East Baton Rouge city-parish officials are reminding residents that crews are still working to remove debris in the area.

Officials said this is one of the largest flood debris clean-up efforts in the history of the entire country. This week, crews began picking up debris on private property. The Private Property Debris Removal Program was unveiled a couple of weeks ago to allow crews to pick up debris sitting within 30 feet from the public right-of-way.

Residents who want to participate in the program can do so by downloading an ROE form (Right-of-Entry) and completing it. Then, applicants are asked to email their completed ROE form along with a valid Louisiana ID or driver's license to BRdebris@thompsoncs.net.

The deadline to apply is Friday, October 7.

Residents can also drop off a completed ROE form and identification in-person by visiting one of the active PPDR intake centers below prior to the Friday deadline and during the listed hours of operation:

  • PPDR Primary Application Center - Cypress Building, 10201 Celtic Drive, Suite B
    • Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

  • Jones Creek Branch Library - 6222 Jones Creek Road
