FRANKLIN, LA (WAFB) - Detectives believe a dispute over money led to a shooting in early September.

The St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office reported Clyde Mitchell, 40, of Franklin, is facing attempted murder and other charges.

Deputies said the shooting happened near an intersection in the community of St. Joseph on September 5. They added the investigation showed several shots were fired at a man and his home.

According to reports, Mitchell was arrested on charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and illegal possession of a stolen firearm seven days after the shooting.
