BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A giant hole in the road on South Boulevard near Nicholson has been causing a headache for one business owner and his patrons.
Pastime's owner, Randy Wesley, says the pothole that has kept customers away and business down has finally been filled. The hole was dug as part of ongoing city sewer repairs, but Wesley says it created confusion for drivers, costing him 40 percent of his normal profits.
Wesley says football season is his busiest time, so the loss was a big hit, but the city's contractor agreed to fill the hole. Asphalt should go down soon and the city says cleanup of the intersection will be done later in the week.
