BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A Baton Rouge man was arrested on September 29 by investigators from the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations - Special Victims Unit, the Louisiana Attorney General's Bureau of Investigation, and LSP Troop A after it was discovered that he was in possession of child pornography.
James R. Fontenot II, 42, was arrested on charges related to the possession and distribution of images of child pornography.
The arrest came after investigators executed a search warrant at Fontenot's home in Baton Rouge. A large collection of images indicative of child pornography were found on several laptops and hard drives belonging to Fontenot.
Fontenot is charged with 100 counts of pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13 (possession of) and one count of pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13 (distribution). Fontenot was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
