Second man faces charges for alleged 'color up scam' at casino

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A second man accused of scamming a Baton Rouge casino out of money in 2015 was arrested Tuesday.

The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office reported Edward Calletano, 28, of Bronx, NY, faces swindling and other charges.

According to the probable cause report, Calletano and several others used a "color up scam" at L'Auberge Casino.

Investigators said they believe Calletano and Emiliano Rodriguez, who was arrested on September 22, used the scam to steal $1,920.

Calletano is charged with one count of cheating and swindling and one count of criminal conspiracy.

He is being held with no bond in the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison because he is also a fugitive from justice.

Investigators added they've identified Erit Cabrera and Ronny Dominguez as other suspects, but there are three other people they have not yet identified.

The ongoing case is being investigated by the gaming enforcement division of Louisiana State Police.
