A 35-year-old man was arrested for allegedly having sexual contact with young girls. Deputies say sexual contact with the first victim started when she was only 10 years old and the second girl was 14 years old.
Kenneth Bernard Stafford was arrested by deputies for aggravated rape and felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile. In both cases, the victims claim the sexual relationship was consensual.
In the case that began when the girl was 10 years old, the victim reportedly became pregnant twice. She followed through with the second pregnancy, which happened when she was in the 7th grade.
The victim reportedly told detectives that Stafford told her he loved her during the five-year period, but she never considered the two to be in a relationship.
A second investigation against Stafford was launched the same day when the cousin of the first victim revealed she had also been involved in a sexual relationship with Stafford.
The second victim told investigators she engaged in intercourse with Stafford between May 2016 and July 2016. She claims the two began their relationship via text messages and she gave her phone to investigators as evidence.
When confronted by a family member of the victims, Stafford allegedly fled. An arrest warrant was issued on August 11, 2016. He was located and arrested on September 26, 2016.
Stafford was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
