BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

A woman allegedly confessed to starting a fire at a home on East Buchanan St. after an argument with her roommate.

According to police, Lucretia Johnson allegedly told her roommate she would burn the house down during the early morning on Thursday, September 22. She apparently had been drinking and that's when the argument began.

On Sunday, Johnson was reportedly pulled over by state police and later voluntarily confessed to setting the house on fire. She was then transferred to the Baton Rouge Fire Department Headquarters for further investigation.

Once the details of the fire were confirmed by the BRFD Headquarters, Johnson was arrested and booked on the charge of simple arson.
