BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - On Sunday, September 25, a pedestrian was killed in a crash on Winbourne Ave.
The Baton Rouge Police Department is investigating the crash, which occurred in the 4100 block of Winbourne around 6:30 a.m. The crash involved a 2012 Chevy Equinox and the pedestrian.
The on-scene investigation revealed that the vehicle was traveling eastbound on Winbourne in the outside lane. Reginald Holden, 45, was walking north on Bartlett St. and for unknown reasons, entered the outside lane of Winbourne. As a result, Holden was struck by the vehicle and later died on scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
