Police arrest man wanted in drive-by shooting from April

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A man authorities had been trying to find for five months was arrested Friday.

The Baton Rouge Police Department reported Albert Youngblood, 32, was wanted in connection with a drive-by shooting in April that injured one person.

According to police, Youngblood allegedly fired multiple shots from a vehicle while driving on Enterprise Street on April 11. They said one victim was hit several times, while another person was nearby but was barely able to escape being injured.

Youngblood was also wanted by the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office on multiple charges.

He was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on the following charges:

Attempted first-degree murder (2 counts)
Illegal use of a weapon
Criminal damage to property
Assault by drive-by shooting
Felon in possession of a firearm
Warrants for failure to appear in court on multiple charges

His bond was set at $240,000.
