NEW ORLEANS (WAFB) -

After losing another heartbreaker on the last play of the game, the New Orleans Saints stayed put at No. 24 in this week's ESPN Power Rankings.

A missed field goal against the Raiders and a made field goal by the Giants leave the Saints with an 0-2 record to start the season.

WEEK 2 Ranking:

This is the third straight season the Saints have started 0-2, and each of the previous two seasons ended in a 7-9 record. But feel good this week, New Orleans. We'll be seeing a lot of Steve Gleason's punt block in the buildup to Monday night's showdown against the Falcons.

The Saints next opponent, the Atlanta Falcons, moved up four spots to No. 17.

The Carolina Panthers have the best NFC South ranking at No. 4 and the Tampa Bay Bucs dropped eight spots to No. 22.

The New England Patriots claimed the No. 1 spot, followed by the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Arizona Cardinals.
