Redemptorist High in Baton Rouge to be demolished to make way for new school

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - More is now known about the future of a Baton Rouge icon - Redemptorist High School.

The Diocese of Baton Rouge plans to tear down the old school building and donate the land to the new Cristo Rey High School, which was renting the space before the record flooding back in August. Estimates suggest getting the campus back in shape would cost at least $1 million.

Diocese leaders expect the old school to be torn down by January 2017.
