BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Virginia College in Baton Rouge is welcoming former ITT students and offering them assistance to help them stay focused on completing their programs of study.
"It will be our honor to give former ITT students the individual support they need. We've determined which ITT credits will transfer and align with our comparable classes so the transition to a new school will be a manageable process. We want to do whatever we can to help," said Bill Wells, president of Virginia College in Baton Rouge.
For those students who were enrolled in a program that does not line up with one offered by Virginia College, enrollment specialists will help students transition into another program. Some former ITT students may have the option to transfer credit and finish their degree programs online.
Virginia College is also offering a special tuition rate to former ITT students and is waiving enrollment and registration fees, residency requirements, and entrance exams.
"As former ITT students join our student body to continue their educational journey, it is important to know that Virginia College in Baton Rouge is in good standing with our accreditor and the U.S. Department of Education, and we are fully focused on our mission of providing post-secondary career education that prepares our graduates to enter the workplace with a valuable skill set. It's all about students staying on track to graduation and securing a job that allows them to provide for themselves and their families," said Wells.
