SU Law Center hosts free 'After Disaster Recovery Training'

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

The Southern University Law Center is hosting a free "After Disaster Recovery Training" for those affected by the flood. 

The meeting will be on Thursday, Sept. 15 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. It will take place at the SULC Edward L. Patterson Moot Courtroom, 201 A. A. Lenoir Hall.

The purpose of the meeting is to help flood victims get the answers they need during the recovery process.

There will be presentations regarding landlord/tenant issues, FEMA assistance and disaster law, successions issues and title clearing, and the SBA loan process and tax law.

The training is free and open to the community. Attorneys, accountants and other experts in the field are also encouraged to attend the meeting to find out how to assist flood victims.

Interactive live-streaming training will also be available at the following remote locations:

Lafayette Bar Association, 2607 Johnson Street, Lafayette, LA
Louisiana State Bar Association, 601 St. Charles Avenue, New Orleans, LA
