LSU is ranked No. 9 in ESPN's latest SEC Power Rankings.
The Tigers are ranked ahead of Mississippi State, Missouri, South Carolina, Vanderbilt and Kentucky.
LSU: Even without injured running back Leonard Fournette, a quarterback change from struggling Brandon Harris to backup Danny Etling sparked a huge second quarter on offense against Jacksonville State. The Tigers didn’t do much in the second half, but that initial outburst was enough to engender enthusiasm within the fan base entering next Saturday’s SEC opener against Mississippi State.
Alabama is No. 1, followed by Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Arkansas and Florida.
