LSU's Cameron returning to 'the box'

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Offensive coordinator Cam Cameron will return to the coaches' box after a two-game experiment on the sidelines.

"You know, we kind of reviewed that, and I think that what was a Texas Tech obvious advantage, we did not get as much information from the box as we would have liked, and Cam has a good view of offense and defense and can really tell what's going on very quickly from there as opposed to having it relayed, especially in between calls," said LSU head coach Les Miles.

"So we look to reverse that, and we feel like there's two young quarterbacks that can really help Brandon off the field as well as Dameyune Craig who played it. We feel like we would reverse that step there and put him back in the box," Miles added.

Harris completed 14 of 23 passes and threw for 261 yards and a touchdown against Texas Tech's susceptible defense en route to a 56-27 victory in January's Texas Bowl.

Against a much better Wisconsin defense on Sept. 3, Harris threw for only 131 yards and two interceptions, completing 12 of 21 passes.

After the loss to the Badgers, LSU tumbled at least 15 spots in AP and Coaches polls.

The Tigers host Jacksonville State in Tiger Stadium Saturday night with kickoff set for 6:30 p.m.
