Chef John Folse's Cinco de Mayo Salsa

Comment: Turn your day into a fiesta by making this Mexican favorite. This salsa is great with chips or served over other Mexican dishes such as tacos or tamales.

Ingredients: 
1/2 cup diced onions
1 cup crushed tomatoes
1 tbsp minced garlic
2 tbsps chopped cilantro
3 tbsps fresh lime juice 
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1 (24-ounce) jar picante sauce
1 tbsp jalapeno peppers, seeded and minced 
1/2 tsp chipotle chili powder
salt to taste

Method: In a medium mixing bowl, combine all ingredients and stir until well blended.
