Fatal Livingston Parish crash claims life of Montpelier man

LIVINGSTON PARISH, LA (WAFB) -

Just before 2 p.m. on August 29, troopers from Louisiana State Police (LSP) Troop A began investigating a fatal wreck on LA 40 east of LA 43 in Livingston Parish. The crash claimed the life of Kevin Zeno, 51, of Montpelier, LA.

The initial investigation revealed the crash occurred as Zeno was traveling westbound on LA 40 in a 2012 Chevy Silverado. For unknown reasons, Zeno's vehicle crossed over the center line and ran off the left side of the road. Zeno's vehicle entered a ditch and began to overturn. The roof of Zeno's vehicle hit the edge of a private driveway, causing severe damage to the vehicle.

Zeno was properly restrained, but suffered fatal injuries nonetheless. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Livingston Parish Coroner's Office. Impairment is not suspected in this incident, but a toxicology sample will be taken from Zeno for analysis.
