15-year-old stabs another teen in birthday party incident in Pierre Part

PIERRE PART, LA (WAFB) -

On Friday, August 26, the Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office responded to a complaint about a fight that occurred at a birthday party that left one of the party guests with multiple stab wounds.

The incident occurred on Oak Lane in Pierre Part. Upon arrival at the scene, deputies learned that two or more high school students for into a fight, which resulted in a 15-year-old stabbing a 17-year-old male multiple times in the torso.

The victim was transported to Teche Regional Medical Center, where he received treatment and was later discharged. The 15-year-old was detained at the scene and then transported to the Assumption Parish Detention Center, where he was charged with aggravated second degree battery.

The investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are likely.
