BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The search committee who was looking for a permanent replacement for CEO of the Capital Area Transit System (CATS) named three finalists for the position on Wednesday, August 17.
The committee reviewed 17 applications of qualified candidates and invited 11 applicants for interviews. Of those 17 candidates, only five were interviewed by the committee.
The following are the finalists chosen from those five candidates:
- Jonathan Davis, who recently retired from the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority. He was with the agency for 20 years.
- William Deville, who currently serves as the interim CEO of CATS and was previously the CEO of the New Orleans Regional Transit Authority.
- Albert Eby, who is currently the Executive Director of the Cape Fear Public Transportation Authority in Wilmington, NC. He has had that position since 2004.
The candidates will be scheduled for visits to Baton Rouge and then the committee will make its final recommendation for the job.
After the recommendation is made, the full CATS board must approve of the chosen candidate before a contract can be negotiated.
