Firefighters rescue fawn from Louisiana floodwaters

Firefighters rescue fawn

PRAIRIEVILLE, LA (WAFB) - Firefighters have rescued plenty of humans during the devastating Louisiana flood, but they also got their saving hands on quite a few animals.

One of them was a fawn that was pulled from floodwaters in the Ascension Parish city of Prairievlle.

They originally had the fawn at a fire station in Baton Rouge, but the fireman who rescued him has now taken the animal home to nurse it back to health.

They've put a dog leash on the baby deer so they can take it for walks and not worry about it running into traffic.
