BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A documentary on a massive sinkhole and its impact on a small Assumption Parish community was showcased Wednesday night.
Four years ago, a salt dome in Bayou Corne collapse and formed the sinkhole, which changed life forever for those who called the area home.
Bayou Corne was evacuated and many never returned.
In the documentary "Forgotten Bayou," there was tragedy and there is resilience.
"It is documentary about the heart the soul of the community of Bayou Corne. It's about this giant sinkhole and how it affect the community as well as the environment," Greene said.
The film is expected to be ready for film festivals this fall.
