BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A full house turned out for a town hall hosted by Concerned Veterans for America Tuesday in Baton Rouge.
Congressman John Fleming also attended the "Veterans and Military Town Hall," which was focused on critical issues facing Louisiana veterans, military families and all Americans.
CVA said it believes veterans and military families deserve to hear from policymakers face-to-face.
The purpose of the grass roots, non-partisan group is to change and fix the national Veteran Affairs. Enacting policy changes that lead to better care for veterans in the Capital region and across the country.
"You have great state-run department of veterans services, but unfortunately there is a VA that not serving very well," said Dan Caldwell with CVA.
The state currently has an estimated 330,000 veterans who would use the services of the VA.
