BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The National NAACP President submitted to Attorney General Loretta Lynch a list of recommendations for action to address issues between police/community relations.

In the letter, NAACP President  Cornell Brooks includes three items. They focus on re-entry programs, the creation of Police Department Interactive Training Program vs Residency Requirements, the inclusion of the entire parish in the election of the Baton Rouge Mayor/President.

Attorney General Lynch attended a memorial service on Thursday, July 28 for the officers who were killed and wounded in the ambush attack. The following day she met with first responders and participated in a community roundtable.
